Creativity. Some claim to have it. Most, claim not.

But. (Spoiler!) We’re all creative. Or, at least, can be.

So claims creative director Graham Barton in this 90-minute interactive talk.

The ability to think up successful (engaging, relevant) ideas can be learnt, developed and applied. Anyone – properly prepared and prepared to try – can do it.

In our world of ever-increasing attention-demanding information, an idea – to catch the ear and eye – can mean the difference between adored and ignored.

Graham is creative director at Folk – a specialist brand identity and user experience design consultancy in Annandale, Sydney.

He enjoys thoughtful design. The smile behind the style. Be that with words, pictures. Or both.

In London then Sydney since 2000, identity has been his mainstay. Understanding, simplifying, writing and/or designing will all be involved at some point. Showing off, basically, to an agreed brief. From little logos to larger rebrands and brand campaigns – helping organisations identify and project the image they need to. Surrounded by a very talented team.

Graham was a juror at the ADGA Biennale Awards in 2014, speaks on occasion at design events, and has previously been Chair of AGDA NSW.
